PLATTSBURGH, NY—Buffalo State (3-2-1/3-2-1) scored the final five goals of the game to skate away with a 6-2 victory at Plattsburgh (2-4/2-4) in a SUNYAC game tonight at Stafford Arena.

Trevor McKinney (Oakwood, ON/Sinclair) and Justin Knee (Centralia, ON/S. Huron) led the Bengals with a goal and an assist each. Mike Zanella (Ithaca, NY/Ithaca), Mac Balson (Lakefield, ON/Adam Scott CVI), Shane Avery (Ft. Covington, NY/Salmon River) and Mike Connolly (Shoreham, NY/Sault Area) also scored for Buffalo State, and Zach Hale (Sandy, UT/Liberty) picked up a pair of assists.

Kevin Carr (Unionville, ON/Unionville) made 43 saves for Buffalo State, as Plattsburgh held a 45-27 advantage in shots on goal.

Zanella opened the scoring for the Bengals with the lone goal of the first period. Plattsburgh scored a pair of quick goals early in the second, but Buffalo State stormed back with two in the second and three more in the third to claim the victory.

Buffalo State will complete its stay in North Country tomorrow with a 7 p.m. face-off at Potsdam.
