ROCHESTER, NY—Buffalo State (3-1) could not overcome scoring just 15 first-half points, falling for the first time this season, 67-52, to host Nazareth (2-2) in a non-conference game tonight at Kidera Gymnasium.

Staci McElroy (Saratoga Springs/Saratoga Springs) was the lone Bengals in double figures, scoring 19 points and added seven rebounds. Divine Sebuharara (Vestal/Vestal) added nine points and eight boards.

Buffalo State never led and trailed 36-15 at halftime. The Bengals outscored the Golden Flyers in the second half, but never cut the deficit to single digits. Buffalo State shot just 25-percent from the field for the game and 13-percent from 3-point range.

Buffalo State will open SUNYAC play when it hosts Cortland on Dec. 3 at 6 p.m.
