BUFFALO, NY—Trevor McKinney (Oakwood, ON/Sinclair) scored with two seconds remaining in regulation to force overtime as Buffalo State (8-8-3/4-3-3) rallied to tie Cortland (3-13-2/2-7-1), 3-3, in a SUNYAC game tonight at the Ice Arena.

Daniel Andersson (Kungsbacka, Sweden/Aranasgymnasiet) and Drew Klin (Lancaster, NY/Lancaster) also scored for the Bengals. Nicholas Petriello (St. Catharines, ON/Holy Cross) chipped in two assists.

Cortland's special teams scored twice in the second, once on the power play and another shorthanded tally to give the Red Dragons a 2-1 lead after two. Buffalo State evened things at 2-2 on the power play in the third, before Cortland scored at 19:47 to regain the lead. McKinney's goal forced overtime, with Cortland outshooting Buffalo State, 4-2, in the extra session.

Both teams went 1 for 5 with the man-advantage and Kevin Carr (Unionville, ON/Unionville) had 26 saves in net for the Bengals.

Buffalo State returns to action Friday when it hosts Fredonia at 7 p.m.
