Box Score ONEONTA, NY— Oneonta (2-3/1-0) outscored visiting Buffalo State (4-1/0-1) 22-10 from the free-throw line, handing the Bengals their first loss of the season, 65-61, in the SUNYAC opener tonight at Alumni Field House.

Staci McElroy (Saratoga Springs/Saratoga Springs) led the Bengals with 17 points and eight rebounds.  Barb Kiliszek (Depew/Lancaster) had 12 points and six boards, and Divine Sebuharara (Vestal/Vestal) pitched in 10 points and six rebounds.

Oneonta hit a trey in the closing seconds of the first half to even the score at 29-29 at the intermission.  Buffalo State pushed ahead 44-37 midway through the second half, but Oneonta used a 12-3 run to erase the deficit and hit a pair of free throws with nine seconds to play to seal the win. 

Buffalo State will visit New Paltz tomorrow for another league game at 2 p.m.
