BUFFALO, NY— Senior Nicholas Petriello (St. Catharines, ON/Holy Cross) tallied a goal and an assist and became Buffalo State's all-time leading scorer, as the Bengals (11-10-3/7-5-3) defeated visiting Potsdam 6-16-1/4-11), 3-1, in a SUNYAC game tonight at the Ice Arena.

Petriello set the school scoring record when he netted the lone goal of the first period and in the process picked up his 132nd career point. After Potsdam evened the score early in the second period, Buffalo State reclaimed a lead it would relinquish just 33 seconds later when Drew Klin (Lancaster, NY/Lancaster) netted his eighth goal of the season. Mac Balson (Lakefield, ON/Adam Scott CVI) completed the scoring with an insurance marker in the third period. Klin also had an assist.

Buffalo State outshot the Bears, 27-23. Kevin Carr (Unionville, ON/Unionville) was solid between the pipes, making 22 saves Buffalo State.

Buffalo State will wrap up the regular season next Friday at Morrisville State.
