MORRISVILLE, NY—Freshman Kevin Carr (Unionville, ON/Unionville) made 44 saves to backstop Buffalo State (12-10-3/8-5-3) to a 3-0 victory at Morrisville State (11-10-1/8-5-1) tonight, clinching the third seed in the SUNYAC standings, marking the best regular season finish in school history.

Taylor McGraw (N. Lawrence, NY/St. Lawrence) netted what proved to be the game-winner with his first collegiate goal in the first period. The Bengals added two more goals in the second frame to pull away. Trevor McKinney (Oakwood, ON/Sinclair) had a goal and an assist, Sean Murray (Burlington, ON/Notre Dame) also scored, and Justin Knee (Centralia, ON/S. Huron) added a pair of assists.

Morrisville outshot the Bengals 44-20 for the game, but Carr was perfect in his third shutout of the season. Buffalo State was 1 for 3 on the power play, and successfully killed all four of the Mustangs odd-man opportunities.

Buffalo State passed Morrisville in the standing with 19 points. The Mustangs could equal the Bengals' point total with a win against Fredonia tomorrow, but Buffalo State would own the head-to-head tiebreaker, going 1-0-1 against Morrisville this season.

Buffalo State will host No. 6-seeded Fredonia in a SUNYAC quarterfinal contest on Tuesday at the Ice Arena at 7 p.m.
