BROCKPORT, NY—Trever McKinney (Oakwood, ON/Sinclair) scored a pair of goals including an empty-netter to help lift Buffalo State (9-9-3/5-4-3) to a 4-1 victory over host Brockport (3-16-2/1-11) in a SUNYAC game tonight at Tuttle North Arena.

McKinney opened the score just 24 seconds into the game, and the Bengals pushed the lead to 3-0 with a pair of second-period goals by Mac Balson (Lakefield, ON/Adam Scott CVI) and Mike Connolly (Shoreham, NY/Sault Area). Brockport broke the shutout midway through the third period, before Buffalo State closed the scoring with the late empty-net tally. Justin Knee (Centralia, ON/S. Huron) had a pair of assists for the Bengals.

Buffalo State outshot Brockport, 29-26, as Kevin Carr (Unionville, ON/Unionville) made 25 stops for the Bengals.

Buffalo State will visit Geneseo tomorrow at 7 p.m.
