GENESEO, NY--Buffalo State (9-4/4-1 SUNYAC) allowed five straight goals over a 3:23 span and trailed by one with six minutes to play, but evened the score and then got the game-winner from Molly Seifritz (Syracuse/Henninger) with 1:04 remaining to defeat host Geneseo (9-2/3-2) 12-11 today in a SUNYAC battle.

Karen Shaddock (Corning/Corning East) led the Bengals with four goals and an assist, and Kendyl Clarkson (Painted Post/Corning West) had two goals and four assists, including setting up the game-tying and winning goals. Jenn Shaddock (Corning/Corning East) added a pair of goals, and Ashley Caporizzo (Liverpool/CNS), Mariah DeBolt (Waterloo/Waterloo) and Maggie Sharp (Airmont/Suffern) also scored for Buffalo State.

The Bengals led 7-5 at halftime and pushed the advantage to 9-5 early in the second period. Ashley O'Brien (Penfield/Honeoye Falls-Lima) made 10 saves, including a game-saving stop on a free position attempt with 32 seconds left.

Buffalo State will visit Potsdam tomorrow for a 1 p.m. start.
