ROCHESTER, NY—Buffalo State (12-16) belted out 25 hits in a two-game sweep at Nazareth (4-24) in a non-conference doubleheader today, winning 7-1 and 12-0 in five innings.

Aleesha Williams (Cheektowaga/Pioneer) and Krista Baker (Dunkirk/Dunkirk) were each 3 for 4 with two RBIs, and Kyrstin Lekki (N. Tonawanda/Niagara-Wheatfield) and Sam Strapason (Williamsville/Williamsville North) both homered for the Bengals in the opener. Kaylee Lekki (N. Tonawanda/Niagara-Wheatfield) scattered seven hits and did not allow an earned run in the complete-game win.

Sam Tilkens (Grand Island/Grand Island) tossed her first collegiate shutout in the late game, with the five-inning three-hitter. Williams was 3 for 3 with four runs scored. Kyrstin Lekki was 2 for 4 with another home run, and Strapason and Breanna Fenski (Cheektowaga/Maryvale) had two hits each.

Buffalo State will travel to Fredonia for a SUNYAC doubleheader on Saturday at 1 p.m.
