BUFFALO, NY—
Karen Shaddock (Corning/Corning East) tallied eight points, and
Molly Seifritz (Syracuse/Henninger) netted her 100th career goal as Buffalo State (7-3/2-0) blasted visiting Oswego (2-3/0-2), 19-6, in a frigid SUNYAC game today at Coyer Field.
Shaddock paced the Bengals' offense with four goals and four assists, while
Mariah DeBolt (Waterloo/Waterloo) had a game-high five goals. Seifritz and
Ashley Caporizzo (Liverpool/CNS) each scored three times, and
Kendyl Clarkson (Painted Post/Corning West) added a goal and five assists.
Jenn Shaddock (Corning/Corning East) pitched in a pair of goals, and
Maggie Sharp (Airmont/Suffern) netted a single marker.
Buffalo State jumped out to a 4-0 lead less than five minutes into the game, and led 13-2 at halftime, before cruising to the win. The Bengals outshot Oswego, 34-17, and owned a 17-10 advantage in draw controls. Buffalo State also forced 24 Laker turnovers.
Ashley O'Brien (Penfield/Honeoye Falls-Lima) needed to make just four saves to secure the win.
Buffalo State will next host No. 5-ranked Cortland on Saturday at 1 p.m.
