BUFFALO, NY—Buffalo State (9-7-2/5-3-1) rallied from a three-goal deficit to defeat Geneseo (10-8/4-5) in overtime, 4-3, in a SUNYAC game tonight at the Ice Arena.

Drew Klin (Lancaster, NY/Lancaster) led Buffalo State with two goals and an assist.  Mike Zannella (Ithaca, NY/Ithaca) scored twice, including the game winner in the extra period, while Zach Hale (Sandy, UT/Liberty) and Matt Bessing (Elma, NY/Cheektowaga) chipped in two assists apiece.

Geneseo scored twice in the first period and added another in the second period to take a 3-0 lead at the 5:56 mark before the Bengals would mount the comeback.  Buffalo State scored three goals in the second to tie the game, with neither team able to find the back of the net in the third period.  Zannella recorded the game winner with just 19 seconds remaining in the extra session to give the Bengals the victory.

The Blue Knights held a slim 37-34 advantage in shots and Kevin Carr (Unionville, ON/Unionville) made 34 saves for his seventh win of the season.

Buffalo State hosts Brockport tomorrow at 7 p.m.
