BUFFALO, NY--Buffalo State (11-1/4-1) used an early 21-0 run to pull away and never looked back, defeating visiting Fredonia (5-6/1-4), 80-63, for its seventh-straight win in a SUNYAC game this evening at the Sports Arena.

Bianca Smiley (Amherst/Sweet Home) had a team-best 15 points and nine rebounds to lead a Buffalo State squad that saw nine different players score. Kala Crawford (Middle Falls/Saratoga Springs) added 11 points, and Staci McElroy (Saratoga Springs/Saratoga Springs) had 10 points and seven rebounds in just 15 minutes.

Becky Hebert (Hilton/Hilton) led Fredonia with a game-high 28 points, playing 39 minutes.  Nicole Calbi (Olean/Olean) added 14 points, eight rebounds and six assists, and Jamie Warren (Lakeview/Frontier) had 10 points and seven boards.

After falling behind 7-4 early, Buffalo State netted 21 consecutive points and built a 40-17 lead at the intermission.  The Bengals pushed the lead to as many as 37 in the second frame before emptying the bench.  Buffalo State dominated on the glass, outrebounding the Blue Devils, 50-33.  The Bengals' bench outscored Fredonia's reserves, 38-0.

Buffalo State will travel to Brockport on Friday for another conference game at 6 p.m.
