BUFFALO, NY—Mike Zannella (Ithaca, NY/Ithaca) led Buffalo State (1-1-1/0-1-1) with two goals and an assist as the Bengals played Geneseo (2-1-1/1-0-1) to a 4-4 draw in a SUNYAC game tonight at the Ice Arena.

Trevor McKinney (Oakwood, ON/Sinclair) and Mac Balson (Lakefield, ON/Adam Scott CVI) also scored for Buffalo State.  Anthony Orange (Plainfield, IL/Plainfield South) and Kyle Whipple (Tonawanda, NY/Kenmore West) chipped in two assists apiece.  Ryan Salkeld (Suffolk, VA/Churchland), Nick Melligan (Sanborn, NY/Niagara-Wheatfield) and Jason Cleaver (York, PA/Central York) each had one helper.

After a 2-2 tie at the first intermission, the Knights scored their third of the game at the 3:02 mark of the second, but didn't hold the lead long as Zannella netted his first of two just over two minutes later.  Zannella would score again in later in the stanza to give the Bengals the 4-3 lead.  Geneseo netted the equalizer early in the third, forcing overtime with neither team able to convert in the extra period.

Buffalo State held a slim 34-33 advantage in shots and was 2 for 7 on the power play, while Geneseo was 3 for 5.  Kevin Carr (Unionville, ON/Unionville) had 29 saves for the Bengals.

Buffalo State will next host Morrisville on Friday at 7 p.m.
