CORTLAND, NY— Buffalo State (3-5-1/2-4-1) snapped a four-game losing skid with a 3-0 win over Cortland (2-5-0/2-4-0) in a SUNYAC game tonight.

Mike Connolly (Shoreham, NY/Sault Area) scored the game winner just 4:48 into the first period off assists from Billy Strakosch (Middlebury, CT/Pomperaug) and Ben Kramer (Great Neck, NY/Great Neck South). 

Trevor McKinney (Oakwood, ON/Sinclair) and Kyle Whipple (Tonawanda, NY/Kenmore West) also scored for the Bengals, while Shane Avery (Fort Covington, NY/Salmon River) also chipped in an assist.

Kevin Carr (Unionville, ON/Unionville) stopped 30 shots en route to his second shutout of the season.  Buffalo State was 1 for 8 on the power play, compared to the Red Dragons' 0 for 2.

Buffalo State will resume competition after the Thanksgiving holiday when it makes the short trip to Fredonia on Nov. 30 for a 7 p.m. game.
