CORTLAND, NY—Drew Klin (Lancaster, NY/Lancaster) scored on the power play at 16:39 of the third period to give Buffalo State (11-10-2/7-6-1) a 4-3 win over host Cortland (5-16-1/3-9-1) in a SUNYAC game tonight at Alumni Arena.  The win locked up the Bengals' second-consecutive SUNYAC playoff berth and fifth in the past six years.

Trevor McKinney (Oakwood, ON/Sinclair), Shane Avery (Fort Covington, NY/Salmon River) and Justin Knee (Centralia, ON/South Huron) also netted goals for Buffalo State.  Matt Bessing (Elma, NY/Cheektowaga) added two assists. 

The two teams traded goals in the first period before the Bengals netted two in the second to take a 3-1 lead into the intermission.  The Red Dragons would respond in the final stanza with a pair of goals, scoring at 5:37 and 7:20 to tie the game 3-3, before Klin recorded his tenth goal of the season.

Buffalo State was 2 for 3 with the man advantage, compared to 1 for 4 for the Red Dragons.  Cortland outshot the Bengals, 33-28, and Kevin Carr (Unionville, ON/Unionville) made 30 saves for his ninth win of the season.

Buffalo State will play at No. 2 Oswego tomorrow at 7 p.m.
