Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 ROCHESTER, NY—The University of Rochester (16-7) swept visiting Buffalo State (11-11) in a non-conference doubleheader today, winning the first game 4-3 in nine innings, before cruising to a 10-2 five-inning victory in the late game.

Buffalo State let a one-run lead in the first game slip away in the bottom of the seventh inning and then lost on a one-out RBI single in the ninth.  Kyrstin Lekki (N. Tonawanda/Niagara-Wheatfield) continued to pace the Bengals' offense with a pair of solo home runs, finishing 2 for 3 at the plate.  Aleesha Williams (Cheektowaga/Pioneer) started the game in the circle, going 6 1/3 innings, allowing three runs on seven hits with four strikeouts.  Maddie Coneys (Clifton Park/Catholic Central) suffered the loss, surrendering two hits and the winning run.

The Yellowjackets jumped out to a 7-0 lead through three innings and ended the second game early.  Breanna Fenski (Cheektowaga/Maryvale) hit a two-run homer to account for all of the Bengals' offense.  Buffalo State allowed just seven hits, but committed four errors to allow Rochester to maximize its opportunities.  Coneys was chased after just two outs, giving up four hits and four runs (only one earned).  Kaylee Lekki (N. Tonawanda/Niagara-Wheatfield) pitched the rest of the game, allowing just three hits, but walked seven, leading to the final six runs.

Buffalo State will host a non-conference doubleheader against Allegheny tomorrow beginning at 3:30 p.m.
