Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 NEW PALTZ, NY—Buffalo State (13-11/6-4) outhit host New Paltz (10-14/4-4) 27-10 and easily swept a SUNYAC doubleheader today, winning 10-4 and 9-1 in six innings.

The Bengals broke the opening game open, scoring all 10 runs in a three-inning stretch, opening the scoring with two runs in the fourth, then plated three more in the fifth and five more in the sixth.  Six different Bengals had two hits apiece.  Breanna Fenski (Cheektowaga/Maryvale) finished 2 for 3 with three RBIs.  Brieanna Brink (Buffalo/Sacred Heart) was 2 for 4 with an RBI, and Kyrstin Lekki (N. Tonawanda/Niagara-Wheatfield) was 2 for 5 with a double and an RBI.  Taylor Swiatek (East Aurora/Orchard Park), Sam Strapason (Williamsville/Williamsville South) and Lindsay Goff (Patterson/Brewster) also had two hits each, and Marcella Ossa (Williamsville/Clarence) added a two-run double.  Aleesha Williams (Cheektowaga/Pioneer) was in the circle for the win, allowing six hits and three earned runs.  Buffalo State outhit New Paltz, 13-6, and the Hawks committed six errors, compared to just one by the Bengals.

The Bengals continued to pound the ball in the late game as well and put it out of reach with a four-run sixth-inning on a grand slam by Lekki.  Strapason was 3 for 4 with a double, and Fenski finished 2 for 4 with two doubles and three RBIs.  Ossa and Kara Stein (Amherst/Amherst) each went 2 for 3 with an RBI.  Maddie Coneys (Clifton Park/Catholic Central) picked up her eighth win of the season, hurling a four-hitter.

Buffalo State will play another SUNYAC twin bill tomorrow at Oneonta at noon.
