Box Score 2 BUFFALO, NY— Buffalo State (16-12) and Penn State Behrend (19-11) each scored a pair of 3-2 wins in non-conference action this afternoon at Bengal Field.
In the first game, Buffalo State took a two-run lead in the second when
Shelly Maggard (Niagara Falls/Niagara Wheatfield) homered to left field. Penn State Behrend tied the game in the third and added the game-winning run in the fourth. Maggard finished 2 for 2 with a homer and two RBIs.
Brieanna Brink (Buffalo/Sacred Heart) was 1 for 2 with a run scored and
Marcella Ossa (Williamsville/Clarence) finished 2 for 3.
Aleesha Williams (Cheektowaga/Pioneer) took the loss on the mound, allowing three runs on 10 hits.

Kara Stein (Amherst/Amherst) scored off a
Taylor Swiatek (East Aurora/Orchard Park) double to left center. Swiatek was 2 for 2, including a double and an RBI. Ossa went 2 for 3 and also finished with a double and an RBI. Stein and
Kyrstin Lekki (N. Tonawanda/Niagara Wheatfield) were both 1 for 3 for Buffalo State.
Maddie Coneys (Clifton Park/Catholic Central) picked up her 10th win of the season, allowing two runs on seven hits while striking out five.
Buffalo State will host Fredonia in a SUNYAC doubleheader Saturday at noon.
