OSWEGO, NY—
Karen Shaddock (Corning/Corning East) tied a school record for points in a game and scored her 200th career goal as Buffalo State (8-3/1-1) blew past host Oswego (1-4/0-2), 22-11, today in a SUNYAC contest.
Shaddock netted seven goals and added five assists to lead the onslaught.
Ashley Caporizzo (Liverpool/CNS) also scored seven times and added a single helper.
Kendyl Clarkson (Painted Post/Corning West) chipped in two goals and six assists, and
Jenn Shaddock (Corning/Corning East) added three goals.
Niki Paulhardt (Hanover, MN/Oswego) also scored twice, and
Emily Dillon (Jordan/Jordan-Elbridge) had a single marker.
Oswego led 2-1 in the early going, but Buffalo State ripped off five straight goals and never looked back. The Bengals added a 7-0 run in the second half to continue to pull away. Buffalo State outshot the Lakers, 43-23.
Colleen George (Johnson City/Maine-Endwell) played into the second half, allowing eight goals while making three saves. Adi DiDuro (Geneva/Geneva) played the final 25 minutes between the pipes for the Bengals, kicking aside six shots with just three goals allowed.
Buffalo State will next visit nationally-ranked Cortland this Saturday at noon.
