BUFFALO, NY— Morrisville State (3-15-2/3-8) netted the first three goals of the game and held on to defeat Buffalo State (9-9-2/4-6-1), 3-1, in a SUNYAC game tonight at the IcePlex.

The Mustangs netted one goal in the first period and two more in the second to take a 3-0 lead midway through the second period. Matt Bessing (Elma, NY/Cheektowaga) got the Bengals on the board at the 13:07 mark of the second, with an assist from Ben Kramer (Great Neck, NY/Great Neck South).

Buffalo State outshot Morrisville, 40-20, and finished 0 for 4 on the power play.  Kevin Carr (Unionville, ON/Unionville) recorded 17 saves in the loss.

Buffalo State will next host Plattsburgh on Friday at 7 p.m.
