Box Score MORRISVILLE, NY—Buffalo State (2-1/2-1) had seven different players find the back of the net and the Bengals outlasted host Morrisville State (0-3/0-3), 7-5, in a SUNYAC game tonight.

Ben Kramer (Great Neck, NY/Great Neck South), Cory Gurski (Hilton, NY/Hilton) and Nick Berst (Depew, NY/Lancaster) had a goal and an assist each, and Jake Rosen (East Amherst, NY/Williamsville North), Adam Rossi (Surrey, BC/Burnsview), Dan Turgeon (Centennial, CO/Cherokee Trail) and Kyle Whipple (Tonawanda, NY/Kenmore West) also scored for Buffalo State. Mac Balson (Lakefield/Adam Scott CVI) added a pair of assists for the Bengals.

Morrisville opened the scoring less than five minutes into the game, but Buffalo State closed out the opening frame with three-consecutive goals, including the freshman Rosen and sophomore Gurski each tallying their first collegiate goals.

The second period featured three power-play goals, two by Morrisville, and one off the stick of freshman Berst for his first as a Bengal.

The Mustangs evened the score at 4-4 midway through the third period, but the Bengals responded with goals by Rossi and Turgeon to reclaim a two-goal lead. The Mustangs netted a late power-play goal to cut the deficit to one, but Whipple sealed the win with an empty-netter in the final minute.

Morrisville outshot the Bengals 42-36, and Kevin Carr (Unionville, ON/Unionville) finished with 37 saves. The Mustangs were 3 for 6 on the power play, and Buffalo State was 2 for 4.

Buffalo State will remain in Morrisville for another SUNYAC game tomorrow at 7 p.m.
