Box Score ROCHESTER, NY—The University of Rochester (5-4) handed Buffalo State (5-1) its first loss of the season with a 63-57 victory in a non-conference game tonight at The Palestra.

Olivia Luciani (Syracuse/E. Syracuse Minoa) was the lone Bengal to score in double-figures, leading the way with 18 points. Ashley Wallace (Lockport/Starpoint) added nine points and 11 rebounds.

Rochester opened the game with an 18-10 lead and took a 27-23 advantage into the intermission. Buffalo State led by as many as five in the second half and was clinging to a 53-51 lead with less than five minutes remaining, but Rochester closed the game with a 12-4 run to clinch the victory.

The Bengals shot just 29-percent from the field, despite going 7 of 17 (41-percent) from 3-point range. Rochester hit 34-percent from the field.

Buffalo State will look to get back on track with another non-conference game tomorrow against Hamilton at 2 p.m.
