Box Score GENESEO, NY—Buffalo State (13-12/9-9) saw its season come to an end as host Geneseo (19-6/14-4) eliminated the Bengals from SUNYAC playoff contention with a 56-44 defeat this evening.

Ashley Wallace (Lockport/Starpoint) was the only Bengal to score in double-figures, netting 14 points.  Olivia Luciani (Syracuse/E. Syracuse-Minoa) was the next highest scorer with six points.

Neither team could get its offense going early as Geneseo led just 17-16 at halftime.  Buffalo State scored first in the second half and took the lead for the last time of the game.  The Knights answered with a 9-0 run and pushed the lead to as many at 13.  Buffalo State cut the deficit to four at 34-30 midway through the half, but it never got closer.

Geneseo dominated the Bengals on the glass, outrebounding Buffalo State 49-34.  Buffalo State shot just 32-perent from the field, while Geneseo shot 41-percent. 

Buffalo State finished tied for sixth with Cortland, but the Red Dragons earned the final playoff berth by virtue of sweeping the Bengals during the regular season.
