OSWEGO, NY—Buffalo State (13-12-2) scored first, but nationally No. 3-ranked Oswego (22-4-0) answered with four-consecutive goals and skated to a 5-2 victory, ending the visiting Bengals season tonight in the SUNYAC semifinals.

Mike Zannella (Ithaca, NY/Ithaca) put Buffalo State on the board first midway through the opening period with assists from Matt Bessing (Elma, NY/Cheektowaga) and Sean Hrivnak (Laval, QC/College Laval).  Oswego stormed back, with two goals later in the period less than a minute apart, and then added two more in the closing minutes of the second stanza. 

Todd Graham (Park Orchards, Australia) netted a power-play marker just 1:18 into the final period with assists from Bessing and Brett Hope (Blenheim, ON/Blenheim), but Buffalo State could not pull any closer.  The Lakers completed the scoring with an empty-net tally with 1:16 remaining.

Oswego finished with a 41-35 advantage in shots, and Buffalo State's Kevin Carr (Uniondale, ON/Uniondale) made 36 saves in the loss.  The Lakers finished 2 for 8 on the power-play, while the Bengals were 1 for 6 with the man advantage.

Buffalo State's 13 wins in the season equaled a school record set last season.
