Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 CLERMONT, Fla.—Buffalo State (5-5) completed its Florida trip today with its fifth-consecutive split, breaking even with an 8-4 win over Union (2-6) before dropping a 15-5 five-inning decision to Elmhurst (11-3) at the US National Training Center.

The Bengals erased an early 2-0 deficit with seven-consecutive runs to convert 13 hits and five Union errors into the four-run win.  Carly Knight (Lewiston/Lewiston-Porter) was 3 for 4 with a triple and three RBIs for Buffalo State.   Breanna Fenski (Cheektowaga/Maryvale), Brieanna Brink (Kenmore/Sacred Heart) and Jordan Dudish (Grand Island/Grand Island) collected two hits apiece.  Maddie Coneys (Clifton Park/Catholic Central) earned the win, allowing nine hits and two earned runs with six strikeouts.

Elmhurst hammered out 21 hits in just five innings in the second game, and blew the contest open with a six-run second inning, two more in the fourth, and seven in the fifth.  Buffalo State collected 11 hits in the shortened game, but could not overcome the Blue Jays' offense. 

Sam Strapason (Williamsville/Williamsville South) led the Bengals, going 3 for 4, while Kate Brownell (Batavia/Oakfield-Alabama) was 2 for 2 with two runs scored, and Brink was 2 for 3 with an RBI.

Buffalo State will return home this evening and will open SUNYAC play at home on Friday against New Paltz.  The doubleheader will begin at 3 p.m.
