Box Score CLERMONT, Fla.— Ashley Caporizzo (Liverpool, NY/Cicero-N. Syracuse) had four goals and five assists to help lead Buffalo State (5-3) past Western Connecticut State (2-3), 13-12, in a non-conference game this morning at the National Training Center in Clermont, Fla.

Sarah Kirchberger (Buffalo, NY/W. Seneca West), Becca Martinez (Syracuse, NY/Corcoran) and Niki Paulhardt (Hanover, MN/Oswego) each had three goals apiece.

In a game that featured five ties, Buffalo State used a pair of 5-0 runs in each period to help secure the win.  The Colonials scored the final two goals of the contest, including their 12th of the game at 3:36 to get to within one, but the Bengals managed to maintain possession and run out the clock. 

Buffalo State led in shots, 29-25, and ground balls, 26-24, and committed 21 turnovers.  Defensively, the Bengals caused six of Western Connecticut's 24 turnovers.  Adelena DiDuro (Geneva, NY/Geneva) had 10 saves for the Bengals.

Buffalo State will open SUNYAC play at New Paltz on Saturday at 1 p.m.
