Box Score BUFFALO, NY—Nationally No. 2-ranked Adrian (11-0-1) used five power-play goals to defeat host Buffalo State (5-6-3), 6-2, tonight in a non-conference game at the Ice Arena.

The Bulldogs scored a pair of goals on their first three shots in the opening six minutes of the game. Buffalo State gained control of the game in the early part of the second period and then pulled within 2-1 with a power-play blast by Ben Kramer (Great Neck, NY/Great Neck South). Adrian reclaimed the momentum, however, capitalizing on a pair of penalties in the late stages of the middle frame, netting two goals in a span of 1:09.

After Adrian pushed the margin to 5-1 early in the third period, Nick Berst (Depew, NY/Lancaster) deflected a point shot from Jason Cleaver (York, PA/Central York) home for his third of the season for the Bengals. The Bulldogs closed out the scoring with yet another power-play goal, just minutes later.

Adrian finished 5 of 8 with the man-advantage, while Buffalo State was 2 for 7. The Bulldogs outshot the Bengals, 35-20. Kevin Carr (Unionville, ON/Unionville) finished with 29 saves in the loss.

Buffalo State will host Adrian again tomorrow at 3 p.m.
