No. 1 St. Norbert Completes Sweep of Men’s Hockey, 8-0

DePERE, Wisc.—Nationally No-1-ranked St. Norbert (8-0-1) fully looked the part, using a five-goal second period to cruised past visiting Buffalo State (1-5-2) for an 8-0 victory in a non-conference game tonight.

St. Norbert outshot the Bengals 32-7 over the first two periods, and after scoring once in the opening frame, blew the game open, taking a 6-0 lead through the opening 40 minutes.  Buffalo State produced some chances in the final period, but could not break through and the Green Knights netted two more goals to complete the scoring.

Buffalo State was outshot 45-17 for the game, with Ian Sylves (Sloan, NY/JFK) going to distance between the pipes, finishing with 37 saves.

Buffalo State will return to SUNYAC play next Friday at Brockport at 7 p.m.
