BROCKPORT, NY—Aaron Green stopped all 33 shots he faced and Brockport (5-5-1/2-3-1) dealt visiting Buffalo State (1-6-2/1-4-2) a 3-0 loss in a SUNYAC game tonight at Tuttle North Arena.
Brockport opened the scoring just 2:43 into the game with a goal by Zac Sikich and took the 1-0 advantage into the second period. Buffalo State applied pressure in search of the equalizer in the middle stanza, outshooting the Golden Eagles 19-12, but could not break through. Brockport added a late insurance marker by Aidan Verbeke, before James Ryan put the game out of reach with an empty-net tally.
Brockport finished with a 37-33 advantage in shots, as Ian Sylves (Sloan, NY/JFK) made 34 saves while allowing just two goals.
Buffalo State will visit Geneseo for another league game tomorrow at 7 p.m.
