WINCHENDON, Mass..—Buffalo State (5-3-1) saw its four-game winning streak come to an end tonight with a 4-0 non-conference loss at Franklin Pierce (6-1).
The Raven opened the scoring in the closing minutes of the first period, before netting two more in the middle frame. Franklin Pierce added a power-play marker midway through the third period to complete the scoring.
The Ravens finished 1for 4 on the power play, and Buffalo State was just 0 for 2. The Bengals outshot Franklin Pierce, 28-26, including 14-4 over the final 20 minutes, but could not get on the scoreboard.
Justine Silva (El Monte, CA/Arroyo) finished with six saves on seven shots, before
Megan Sackett (Williamsville, NY/AN Myer (ON)) played the final two periods, stopping 16 of 19 shots faced.
Buffalo State will play Franklin Pierce again tomorrow at 1 p.m.
