Box Score GENESEO, NY— No. 11 Geneseo (19-5/13-2) tallied a pair of third-period goals to erase a 2-0 deficit and then scored 1:35 into overtime to steal a 3-2 victory over visiting Buffalo State (9-10-5/6-5-4) tonight in a SUNYAC game.

Buffalo State outshot the Knights 14-8 in the first period, but the game remained scoreless into the first intermission.  Despite being outshot 20-7 in the middle frame, Buffalo State broke through with the period's only two goals.  Mac Balson (Lakefield, ON/Adam Scott CVI) stared things off with his first of the year, and then Taylor Pryce (Newmarket, ON/Cardinal Carter) extended the lead just three minutes later. 

Geneseo finally cut the deficit in half 9:05 into the third period with the man-advantage, and then evened the score with just 1:39 remaining in regulation with another power-play marker.  The Knights generated the only three shots of the abbreviated overtime session, and ended the game with a third-consecutive goal. 

Geneseo had a 43-29 advantage in shots for the game.  Kevin Carr (Unionville, ON/Unionville) finished with 40 stops for Buffalo State.  Each team had six chances on the power play, but only Geneseo was able to capitalize, scoring twice.

Despite the loss, Buffalo State secured a home playoff game for next Wednesday by clinching the No. 4 seed.  The Bengals will close out their regular season tomorrow at Brockport at 7 p.m. in a potential quarterfinal preview.
