Box Score POTSDAM, NY— Kevin Carr (Unionville, ON/Unionville) made 44 saves to backstop Buffalo State (9-8-4/6-3-3) to a 1-1 tie at Potsdam (7-12-1/2-8-1) in a SUNYAC contest tonight at Maxcy Ice Arena.

Shane Avery (Ft. Covington/Salmon River) opened the scoring for the Bengals midway through the first period with assists from Sean Hrivnak (Laval, QC/College Laval) and Taylor McGraw (N. Lawrence, NY/St. Lawrence). Buffalo State preserved the 1-0 lead until Potsdam pulled even with a power-play marker with less than five minutes to play in the second period to complete the game's scoring.

The Bears held a 45-33 edge in shots on goal, including producing the only three shots of the overtime period.

The two teams combined to commit 210 minutes in penalties, with Buffalo State drawing a school record 118 minutes. Potsdam finished 1 for 8 on the power play and was unable to convert on an opportunity in overtime, and Buffalo State finished 0 for 6 with the man-advantage. Five players were assessed game disqualifications at the end of the contest, including Mike Zannella, Dan Turgeon and Jason Cleaver from Buffalo State who will all be ineligible for tomorrow's game.

Buffalo State will complete its "North Country" visit tomorrow at No. 6 Plattsburgh at 7 p.m.
