Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 CLERMONT, Fla.—Buffalo State (4-4) needed just 10 innings to dispose of a pair of opponents today at the National Training Center, defeating MIT (3-6), 9-0, and Thomas (2-2), 15-1, in back-to-back five-inning contests. Sophomore Stephanie Novo (Cheektowaga/Depew) hit for the cycle in the late win against Thomas.

Maddie Coneys (Clifton Park/Catholic Central) tossed a three-hit shutout against MIT, and the Bengals scored five runs in the second and four more in the fourth inning. Chrissy Rennard (Brockport/Brockport) finished 3 for 3 with a double and an RBI. Novo was 2 for 3 with a double, a triple and an RBI, and Taylor Swiatek (East Aurora/Orchard Park) and Joanna Bardak (Amherst/Amherst) had two hits and an RBI apiece.

Novo was 4 for 4 for the cycle with four RBIs and three runs scored in the late game to lead the Bengals' onslaught. Sarah Gorski (Cheektowaga/Depew) was 3 for 3 with three runs scored, and Swiatek was 3 for 4 with a pair of RBIs. Rennard and Bardak each homered and had thre RBIs, and Carly Knight (Lewiston/Lew-Port) had a pair of hits and two runs scored. Jordan Sarat (Caledonia/Caledonia-Mumford), Alison Novak (Amherst/Williamsville North) and Sam Tilkins (Grand Island/Grand Island) teamed up in the circle to scatter five hits in the win.

Buffalo State will conclude its stay in Clermont tomorrow with games against Williams and Wisconsin-Oshkosh at 9 and 11 a.m. respectively.
