Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 CLERMONT, Fla.—Buffalo State (5-5) cruised to an 11-4 victory over Williams (6-2), but dropped a 12-3, five-inning decision to Wisconsin-Oshkosh (8-3) to conclude its stay at the National Training Center earlier today.

The Bengals never trailed in the early game, jumping out to a 7-0 advantage by the top of the fourth inning and coasted to the win, outhitting Williams, 13-3. Stephanie Novo (Cheektowaga/Depew) continued to drive the Bengals' offense, going 4 for 5 with a pair of doubles and three runs scored. Taylor Swiatek (East Aurora/Orchard Park) finished 2 for 5 with five RBIs, while Kate Brownell (Batavia/Oakfield-Alabama) and Sarah Gorski (Cheektowaga/Depew) had two hits and two runs scored apiece.

Williams score four unearned runs in the fourth after a two-out error prolonged the inning. Maddie Coneys (Clifton Park/Catholic Central) picked up the win for the Bengals allowing three hits in four complete innings. Sam Tilkins (Grand Island/Grand Island) tossed three innings of no-hit relief to close the game.

In the late game, Oshkosh plated seven runs on four hits, two hits and a hit batter in the fifth inning to end the game early. Novo and Kara Stein (Amherst/Amherst) each doubled for Buffalo State as Buffalo State finished with just four hits, compared to 10 by the Titans.

The Bengals needed to use three pitchers with Jordan Sarat (Caledonia/Caledonia-Mumford) taking the loss, allowing two hits, four walks and four earned runs in just over an inning of work. Alison Novak (Amherst/Williamsville North) threw 3 1/3 innings, allowing seven hits and six runs, before Tilkins allowed two more runs before getting the final two outs.

Buffalo State scored 77 runs in 10 games in Florida and hit .358 as a team, led by Novo's .568 batting average to go with 11 RBIs.

Buffalo State's home doubleheader against Fredonia scheduled for this Saturday has been tentatively postponed for Sunday.
