Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 MEADVILLE, Pa.—Buffalo State (8-6) and Allegheny (5-12) split a pair of non-conference contests today in a tale of two contests, with the host Gators claiming a 9-0 six-inning victory in the opener, before the Bengals responded with a 9-1 win in the nightcap. 
 
Allegheny ended the opening game early, following a four-run fifth inning with a four-run sixth inning, while Buffalo State managed just three hits for the game.  The Gators scored their nine runs on 10 hits and four Buffalo State errors.  Alison Novak (Amherst/Williamsville North) was charged with the loss, allowing seven hits and five runs (one earned) in 4 2/3 innings of work.  Sam Tilkins (Grand Island/Grand Island) came on in relief, but got just two outs, allowing three hits and four runs (one earned).
 
The Bengals flipped the script in the late game, pounding out 16 hits and plating nine runs, while Jordan Sarat (Caledonia/Caledonia-Mumford) tossed a complete game two-hitting for the win in the circle. 
 
Buffalo State quickly jumped out to a 6-1 lead through two innings and then added three more runs in the final inning.  Stephanie Novo (Cheektowaga/Depew) finished 3 for 5 with three runs scored, and five Bengals had a pair of hits each, while every player in the lineup had at least one hit.  Senior Jordan Dudish (Grand Island/Grand Island) was 2 for 4 with two RBIs and her first collegiate home run.  Joanna Bardak (Amherst/Amherst) had two doubles and an RBI, and Taylor Swiatek (East Aurora/Orchard Park) was 2 for 5 with three RBIs.  Jean Stahl (W. Seneca/W. Seneca East) and Jenna Clarke (Brockport/Brockport) added two hits each.
 
Buffalo state is next scheduled to play a SUNYAC doubleheader at Geneseo on Friday at 3 p.m.
