Box Score 2 GENESEO, NY—Buffalo State (8-8/2-2) had just four hits and committed 10 errors in a pair of abbreviated SUNYAC losses at Geneseo (5-7/2-2) today, falling 13-0 in five innings and 8-0 in six innings.
In the first game, Geneseo converted just seven hits, four walks and four Buffalo State errors into 13 runs, highlighted by an eight-run fourth inning to put the game away. Buffalo State finished with just three hits, including two off the bat of
Stephanie Novo (Cheektowaga/Depew).
Geneseo continued to take advantage of Buffalo State miscues in the late game, using six Bengal errors, combined with eight hits to sprint to the eight-run victory. Buffalo State's only hit of the game was a leadoff double in the second inning by
Kate Brownell (Batavia/Oakfield-Alabama).
Jordan Sarat (Caledonia/Caledonia-Mumford) was charged with the loss, allowing six hit and six runs, but no earned runs, in 4 2/3 innings.
Buffalo State will travel to the University of Rochester for a pair of non-conference games on Tuesday.
