ROCHESTER, NY – Buffalo State (1-1) fell to No. 13-ranked Rochester (1-1) 3-0 as the Yellowjackets held the Bengals to just two shots in the final game of the Flower City Classic hosted by Rochester on Sunday afternoon.

The top ranked Yellowjackets took control from the opening whistle, outshooting the Bengals 11-0 in the first half. Rochester tallied its first goal of the game at the 16 minute mark.

In the second half, the Yellowjackets added a quick goal just three minutes into play and closed out the game with a third goal at 69:35.

Goalkeeper Hunter Hein (E. Amherst/Clarence) played 82:54 and made five saves in the loss.

Buffalo State will return to action on Friday, Sept. 5 for a matchup against Houghton at 3 p.m. in the first round of the Fredonia Classic.
