GENESEO, NY—Buffalo State (8-6/5-2) had its four-game winning streak come to an end with a 78-62 loss at Geneseo (9-4/5-1) today in a SUNYAC contest.
Olivia Luciani (E. Syracuse/East Syracuse Minoa) led the Bengals with 16 points, and
Brittnee Perry (Buffalo/Hutch Tech) netted 13 points with four assists.
Clarisa Matias (Buffalo/Holy Angels) chipped in 11 points, and
Ashley Wallace (Lockport/Starpoint) had nine points and nine boards.
Buffalo State led 33-31 at the intermission, but Geneseo used an 8-0 run early in the second half to take the lead and then continued to pull away. The Bengals shot just 25-percent from the field for the game and lost the battle of the boards, 59-44. Geneseo shot 40-percent.
Buffalo State will return to action at Fredonia on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
