PLATTSBURGH, NY—Buffalo State (9-9/6-5) surrendered a season-high 93 points and could not get its offense in gear, dropping a 93-63 decision at Plattsburgh (9-8/6-4) tonight in a SUNYAC game.
Niasha Houpe (Rochester/William Floyd) was one of just two Bengals scoring in double-figures with 14 points to go with a team-best seven rebounds.
Keyonte Edwards (Buffalo/O'Hara) chipped in 11 points in the loss.
Plattsburgh led wire-to-wire, opening the game on an 8-0 run and extending the lead to 49-28 by the intermission. The Cardinals continued to pull away in the second stanza, pushing the advantage to as many as 35 before closing out the 30-point win.
Buffalo State shot just 25 percent from the field, despite shooting 29-percent (6 of 21) from 3-point range. Plattsburgh shot 51 percent from the floor and outrebounded Buffalo State 60-42.
Buffalo State will play again at Potsdam tomorrow at 4 p.m.
