PLATTSBURGH, N.Y.—Buffalo State dropped a pair of SUNYAC contests today at Plattsburgh, falling in straight sets to Oswego before dropping a four-set match against first-place New Paltz.

HOW IT HAPPENED- Kayla Pyc (Grand Island/Grand Island) had a team-best 14 kills to go with three blocks for the Bengals.
- Jennifer Cecchettini (Hamburg/Frontier) dished out 27 assists.
- Ashleen Speen (Vestal/Vestal) added eight kills and three aces, while Rachelle Kelchlin (W. Seneca/St. Mary's) chipped in a team-high 15 digs.

HOW IT HAPPENED- Buffalo State rose to the challenge of facing the league's first-place team, narrowly dropping the first set, and rebounding to even the match with a 25-22 win in the second set. The Hawks proved too strong, however, winning the next two sets to send the Bengals to their second defeat of the day.
- Speen led the Bengals with 12 kills, while Hannah Renaldo (N. Collins/N. Collins) had 11.
- Pyc added nine kills and a team-high four blocks.
- Cecchettini chipped in 34 assists, and Kelchlin had 23 digs.
