Women’s Soccer Plays to Scoreless Draw at New Paltz

NEW PALTZ, N.Y.—Buffalo State had its school-record 11-game winning streak snapped, but remained unbeaten in SUNYAC play with a 0-0 draw today at New Paltz.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Buffalo State dominated play from start to finish, outshooting the Hawks, 24-1, but could not break through. 
  • The Bengals only surrendered a single shot from 40 yards out that was easily handled by goalkeeper Jessica McCarey (Middletown/Middletown). 
  • The Bengals had 12 shots in the second half and six more in 20 minutes of overtime. 
 
FOR THE FOES
  • Mikaela Stiklickas finished with seven saves in the shutout for New Paltz.
 
UP NEXT
Buffalo State will close out the SUNYAC regular season tomorrow at Oneonta at 1 p.m. in a game that will decide the conference regular season title.  Both teams have already clinched a first-round bye in the SUNYAC playoffs.
