HOW IT HAPPENED- Buffalo State dominated play from start to finish, outshooting the Hawks, 24-1, but could not break through.
- The Bengals only surrendered a single shot from 40 yards out that was easily handled by goalkeeper Jessica McCarey (Middletown/Middletown).
- The Bengals had 12 shots in the second half and six more in 20 minutes of overtime.
FOR THE FOES- Mikaela Stiklickas finished with seven saves in the shutout for New Paltz.
UP NEXTBuffalo State will close out the SUNYAC regular season tomorrow at Oneonta at 1 p.m. in a game that will decide the conference regular season title. Both teams have already clinched a first-round bye in the SUNYAC playoffs.
