BUFFALO, N.Y.
—With a playoff berth already in its pocket, Buffalo State rested a number of its key starters in today's regular season finale at Coyer Field, and dropped a 1-0 decision against first-place Oneonta.

HOW IT HAPPENED- Oneonta withstood a little early pressure by the Bengals before opening the scoring with what would prove to be the only goal of the game on a 22-yard free kick inside the left post in the 16th minute.
- The Red Dragons possessed the ball for most of the remainder of the first half.
- The second half was more of the same with Oneonta controlling the ball for long stretches of time.
- The Bengals best scoring chance of the game came in the 60th minute when Tristan Myers (Rochester/Webster Thomas) blasted a shot from 25 yards that Oneonta goalkeeper Vincent Pellegrino was able to leap up and punch over the cross bar.
- Senior goalkeeper Robby Kuhnle (Pleasant Valley/Arlington) finished with four saves in goal for the Bengals in the final home game of his collegiate career.
FOR THE FOES- Alex Winiarski scored his fourth goal of the season, and Pellegrino made two saves for the shutout.
UP NEXTBuffalo State will compete in the SUNYAC quarterfinals next Saturday as the No. 6 seed and will travel to No. 3 Cortland for a 1 p.m. contest. It will be the second time in three season under Coach
Mark Howlett the Bengals will compete in the conference playoffs.
