BUFFALO, N.Y.—  No. 5-ranked St. Norbert used three goals in the third period to seal a 4-0 win over Buffalo State in a non-conference matchup on Friday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Green Knights tallied their first goal of the game midway through the first period.
• Despite scrappy play and shutting out St. Norbert in the second period, the Bengals could not manage to find the back of the net.
• In the third period, the Green Knights offense broke open and St. Norbert scored three goals, the first of which was on a power play, to take control with a 4-0 lead.
• St. Norbert held a 38-17 advantage in shots.
• The Bengals finished 0 for 5 on the power play.
• Mike DeLaVergne (Pawling/Pawling) recorded the loss between pipes with 34 saves, including 18 in the second period.

 
FOR THE FOES

• Tyler Andrews led the St. Norbert offense with two points off two assists.
