POTSDAM, N.Y.—Potsdam scored early in the third period and held on for a 2-1 victory over visiting Buffalo State in a SUNYAC contest tonight at Maxcy Ice Arena.

HOW IT HAPPENED- After a scoreless first period, Potsdam struck first in the middle of the second frame.
- Buffalo State evened the score with just over a minute remaining in the period with a goal from Cory Gurski (Hilton, NY/Hilton) and assists by Ryan Stayner (Youngstown, NY/Nichols) and Scott Roy (Rockland, ON/ESC L'Escale).
- Potsdam pulled back in front just 1:41 into the third period and was able to hold on for the win.
- The two teams traded 30 shots apiece, with Mike DeLaVergne (Pawling, NY/Pawling) stopping 28 in goal for the Bengals.
- Buffalo State was 0 for 4 on the power play, and Potsdam was just 0 for 2 with the man-advantage.
FOR THE FOES- Vinny Caligiuri scored both goals for Potsdam, with Tyler Donaldson and Billy Pascalli tallying a pair of assists each.
