PLATTSBURGH, N.Y.—Nationally No. 1-ranked Plattsburgh scored three times in the first period and pulled away for a 5-0 victory over visiting Buffalo State in an ECAC West game this afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED- Plattsburgh opened the scoring just 1:13 into the contest and added two more first-period goals.
- The Cardinals scored once in the middle frame and then completed the scoring with a power-play marker in the third.
- Plattsburgh outshot Buffalo State 60-10 for the game, including 21-0 in the second period.
- Justine Silva (Baldwin Park, CA/Arroyo) went the distance between the pipes for the Bengals, making 55 saves.
FOR THE FOES- Jordan Lipson had two goals and an assist for Plattsburgh.
- Ashley Songin, Giovanna Senese and Courtney Moriarty scored a goal apiece.
- Bridget Balisy and Erin Brand had three assists each.
- Camille Leonard finished with 10 saves for her second shutout in as many days.
