BUFFALO, N.Y.—Buffalo State conceded a goal in open play for the first time in 550 minutes and 54 seconds of open play and the result was a 1-0 loss against the visiting University of Rochester in a non-conference game this afternoon at Coyer Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED- The balance of play shifted back-and-forth in the opening half with Buffalo State holding a slight edge in shots at 7-5, but neither team could break through.
- The Yellowjackets appeared to break the scoreless drought in the opening minutes of the second half with a header off a long throw in, but the goal was called back on a foul.
- Buffalo State answered with significant pressure at times, but could not get a shot to find the mark.
- After spending a significant stretch in their own end, the Yellowjackets finally broke through when another long throw in from Bryce Ikeda was directed past Buffalo State keeper Robby Kuhnle (Pleasant Valley/Arlington) by Andrew Greenway with less than 10 minutes remaining in regulation.
- Buffalo State finished with a 16-9 advantage in shots, including seven by Luke Pavone (Churchville/Churchville-Chili) and six by Bass Sarr (New York/JREC), but the Bengals could not find the equalizer.
- Kuhnle finished with four saves.
FOR THE FOES- Greenway's goal in the 81st minute was his first of the season.
- Redd Brown made four saves in goal for the shutout.
