BUFFALO, N.Y.—Buffalo State dominated the first half and then held on for a 2-1 victory at D'Youville under the lights tonight in a non-conference cross-town matchup.

HOW IT HAPPENED- Buffalo State outshot the Spartans 14-0 in the first half and took a 2-0 lead into the intermission.
- Tianna Hatch (Endicott/Elmira Free) opened the scoring for the Bengals in the 10th minute when she followed her own shot and buried the rebound for her third goal of the season.
- Meghan Allen (Big Flats/Corning East) extended the lead to 2-0 in the 21st minute when she tallied her third goal of the season on a breakaway.
- The Bengals sat back in the second half, but still outshot the Spartans 10-7, creating a 24-7 advantage for the game.
- D'Youville scored its only goal in the 57th minute, and then hit the cross bar just two minutes later.
- Buffalo State did not allow a shot against in the final 20 minutes, preventing any chance for D'Youville to net an equalizer.
- Freshman Erica Knudsen (Wayne, NJ/Wayne Hills) finished with three saves in the complete game between the pipes.
FOR THE FOES- Rebecca Alvira tallied the goal for the Spartans.
- Megan Dulniak finished with 12 saves to keep D'Youville in the game.
