BUFFALO, N.Y.—Buffalo State gave nationally No. 3-ranked Plattsburgh all it could handle, but the visiting Cardinals escaped with a 1-0 victory in a SUNYAC contest tonight at the Ice Arena.

HOW IT HAPPENED- The Cardinals netted the game's only goal midway through the first period on a rebound, and neither team would score again despite five power-play chances by Plattsburgh and six by Buffalo State.
- Mike DeLaVergne (Pawling, NY/Pawling) stood tall in goal for the Bengals, stopping 30 of the 31 shots he faced.
FOR THE FOES- Spencer Finney made 24 saves in goal for the shutout for Plattsburgh.
- Michael Radisa was the goal scorer with an assist from Brandon O'Quinn.
