UTICA, N.Y.—  Three third period goals helped Buffalo State come from behind to earn a 3-1 non-conference win at No. 15 Utica on Saturday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED- Utica quickly got on the scoreboard tallying its first and only goal of the game in the opening minutes of play.
- The Pioneers held onto their lead through the first period and second period, despite the Bengals holding a slight edge in shots.
- The Buffalo State offense clicked in the third period. Ryan Salkeld (Virginia Beach, VA/Churchland) tied the game up with a goal just 1:48 into the period. Anthony Beaumont (Lester, PA/Interboro) and Todd Graham (Melbourne, AUS/Rice Memorial (VT)) were credited with the assists.
- Eight minutes later, Mac Wood (Simcoe, ON/SCS) tallied the game-winner with assists from Jonathan Hall (Greenfield, IN/Connections Academy) and Zach Nieminen (Ajax, ON/Notre Dame CSS).
- Beaumont added a final goal with only 31 seconds remaining in the game off a pass from Salkeld.
- Mike DeLaVergne (Pawling/Pawling) earned the win in net and tallied 27 saves.
- Buffalo State finished with a 31-28 edge in shots.
 
 FOR THE FOES
- Michael Fredrick made 28 saves for the Pioneers.
- Max Bartell was the lone goal scorer for Utica.
