PLATTSBURGH, N.Y.—
Jordan Yastremski (Bath/Bath-Haverling) recorded her sixth double-double of the season with 15 points and 11 rebounds, but the Bengals struggled offensively and were unable to slow the Plattsburgh Cardinals as they fell 82-56 in a SUNYAC matchup on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED- Yastremski opened up scoring in the game with a three-point play at 8:55, giving the Bengals their only lead of the day.
- 40 seconds later, a Plattsburgh 3-pointer tied the game up.
- A turnover by the Bengals on the next play gave Plattsburgh back the ball and the Cardinals took advantage, sinking a shot at 7:52 to take a lead that they would not relinquish.
- The Bengals were able to tie the game up two more times in the quarter, but a 6-0 run to close out the period put Plattsburgh up 22-15.
- Both teams struggled in the opening minutes of the second quarter. Plattsburgh pushed its lead out to nine, 24-15 with the first points of the period at 6:50
- Krystal Watson (Buffalo/Sacred Heart) managed to cut the Cardinals lead down to four points with 2:37 left in the half, but Plattsburgh responded with an 11-2 run to take a comfortable 40-27 lead into halftime.
- The Bengals continued to struggle from the floor in the second half and were unable to break the Cardinals double-digit lead.
- Yastremski led the Buffalo State offense, while Clarisa Matias (Buffalo/Holy Angels) added 12 points and a team-high three assists.
- Buffalo State finished the day shooting 30.1 percent from the floor, 27.3 percent from 3-point range and 60 percent from the free throw line.
FOR THE FOES - Devona Paul led the Cardinals on offense with 24 points. Allie Taylor added 12 points, while Misha Green chipped in 11.
- Plattsburgh held a 52-45 advantage in rebounds and tallied 20 points off turnovers.
- The Cardinals finished the day shooting 41.8 percent from the floor, 26.3 percent from long range and 75 percent from the free throw line.
